Data Deletion Instructions
How to manage and request the deletion of your connected social media data.
At Kite, we respect your privacy and provide transparent options for managing the data collected when you connect third-party platforms such as TikTok or Instagram. Below are instructions on how to disconnect your social media accounts and request the deletion of all associated data.
Option 1: Disconnect Accounts from Kite Dashboard
You can instantly revoke our access and delete stored credentials by navigating to the Publisher dashboard inside Kite. In the accounts section, click 'Disconnect' next to your TikTok or Instagram account. This action immediately deletes your access and refresh tokens from our active database.
Option 2: Revoke Access Directly on Social Platforms
You can revoke access to Kite directly from the security settings of your social media accounts. For TikTok: Open the TikTok app, go to Settings & Privacy > Security & Login > Manage App Permissions, find Kite, and click 'Remove Access'.
Option 3: Request Complete Data Deletion via Email
If you would like to request that we delete all data associated with your social media connections from our backups and histories, please contact us directly at contact@thetransitionalhooks.com with the subject line 'Social Media Data Deletion Request' and include your account details. We will process and confirm your request within 24 hours.
